Step 1: Decide on a topic and a name.

The first step in beginning a blog is deciding on a topic and a name for your site.

Are you stumped as to what to write about on your blog? It's no problem! There are a few simple and quick techniques to come up with a decent blog topic. Take a look at the following:

What should I write about on my blog? What is the best way to choose a blog topic?

You can write about almost anything on your blog. Here are some suggestions to help you get your creative juices flowing:

#1: Hobby

A hobby near to your heart is one of the best themes you may write about. You'll never run out of topics to write about or feel like you don't know enough about them.

You name it: gardening, baking, travel, literature, fashion, and cuisine. Writing a blog about your pastime is a fantastic way to meet others who share your interests from all over the world.

#2: Passion

Why not start a blog about a subject about which you are truly passionate? We all have different interests and passions, whether it's coffee, yoga, or politics for some, or tea, running, or green energy for others.

Whatever it is that motivates you to write for your blog, it will help you stay inspired for years to come.

#3: Yourself

We all have distinct perspectives and experiences on a wide range of topics. You can start a blog about your life and share your opinions with the rest of the world.

If you have a strong personality (but not so strong that it offends others), blogging about yourself can attract a large number of readers and spark discussions that will help your blog gain even more traction.

#4: Family

We all come from various backgrounds and come from different families. Something about reading about someone else's family history piques our interest and draws us in. Of course, you don't have to go into great depth or provide personal information.

Pregnancy and ordinary life are, in fact, one of the most popular family themes for blogging. It's so simple for other people to help after the baby arrives.

#5: Personal experience

We've all learnt a variety of lessons, both good and terrible, during our lives. Blogging about what you've learnt so far will help those who are reading your blog deal with similar concerns or challenges.

Simple counsel can sometimes benefit someone going through a difficult moment in their life more than you might think. However, a life event might be as simple as that.

#6: lifestyle

Last but not least, starting a lifestyle blog is by far the most popular topic. Fashion, make-up, home design, travel, shopping, and fitness are just a few of the topics covered. The list is extensive!

If done right, lifestyle blogs may be quite successful in terms of attracting readers and earning money.

You may become a successful blogger by combining your site with powerful marketing tools like social networking.

How do you come up with a name for your blog?

After you've chosen the right blog topic, it's time to give your blog a name.

Don't be concerned if this appears to be a significant move. The best name is usually the first one that comes to mind — trust your instincts here.

If you're not sure where to begin, remember that a decent blog name should be something like:

  • Descriptive: Your blog's name should tell your readers what the site is about.
  • Concise: Keep your blog's name as brief as possible.
  • Easy to spell: Stay away from tricky terms that are prone to typos.

Consider your blog's name from the perspective of your readers: can they determine what your blog is about just by looking at it?

At this point, I'd suggest coming up with three to five name suggestions.

After you've come up with a few blog name options, you'll need to decide on a domain name extension. “.com” is the most popular domain extension. Also popular are the domains ".org" and ".net."

Consider using a nation or language specific domain extension, such as ".fr" for a French blog or ".de" for a German blog, if you want to write for readers in a specific country.

It's time to get your blog online once you've come up with a few blog name options.

This following step, I understand, may appear complex or frightening to many new bloggers like you. That's why I'm here to assist.

The step-by-step instructions below will take you through each step so you don't have to worry about anything going wrong. This is something I believe anyone can do, including you!

Trust me, it's a lot easier than you think!

Step 2: Get your blog up and running with a domain name and hosting.

To start a blog, you'll need three things
  1. Domain name
  2. Hosting plan
  3. Blogging platform.
Lets see what these are ,

1: What is a domain name?
You'll need to register a domain name for your WordPress blog before it can go live.

In short, users type your domain name into their browser to find and access your blog ( www.mydollarstudio.blogspot.com )

2: What is the definition of blog hosting?
On a web server, your WordPress blog is made up of files and data. This server serves as a home for your blog, storing all of the files.

Your blog hosting company acts as your landlord, renting you web server space and making your website visible.

Your website visitors won't be able to remember your URL if you don't have a domain name.
There will be no website to visit if you do not have a hosting account.

To start a blog, you'll need a domain name and a hosting account.

Finally, to write your blog, you'll need a blogging platform or software.

3: How do you pick the best blogging platform for you?

You'll need a blogging platform before you can start writing amazing material for your site.

It's just the programme that lets you to write and manage blog articles and other content on your hosting account.

As a result, blogging platforms are frequently referred to as Content Management Systems (CMS).

There are a variety of good blogging platforms to select from,
  • WordPress
  • Blogger
  • Medium
  • Tumblr etc

Here's a quick overview of what you'll need to know while choosing between Blogger and WordPress:

Blogger: This is a free, straightforward blogging platform that will get you up and running in minutes. However, there are very few choices for personalising your blog or doing much more than writing basic entries.

WordPress: Getting started with this platform takes a little more time (as well as the cost of a hosting plan and a domain name). On the other side, it's simple to use for novices, has a tonne of customization possibilities, a tonne of advanced features, and will easily scale with your site as it grows.

FAQ:

  • Is it better to make money through blogging or through WordPress?
Self-hosted WordPress is simply more advantageous and profitable for starting a blog. You can not only monetize your blog through various commercials, affiliate links, or direct advertising, but you can also modify and control it as you see fit.

  • Is it possible to switch from Blogger to WordPress?
To begin the process of importing your Blogger site into WordPress, go to Tools » Import in your WordPress admin area. Go ahead and click the 'Install Now' link below Blogger on the Import page. The Blogger Importer plugin will now be downloaded and installed by WordPress for you.

Regardless of your blog's topic, though, I always recommend WordPress.

The following are some of the reasons why WordPress is the finest blogging platform for you:

  1. Its Free for everyone to use
  2. Easy to setup
  3. Highly customisable
  4. It's safe and stable
What is the best place to acquire a domain and hosting?

So far, we've gone through the most crucial things you should accomplish before launching your blog.

Let's have a look at the steps you'll need to take to build and set up your blog using the WordPress blogging software we just talked about.

When it comes to blog hosting, there are three things you'll need:
  • An easy yet strong technical setup: You don't want to waste hours on your hosting because you're here to blog, not debug!
  • Uptime reliability: Your blog must be up and functioning at all times of the month, day, and hour.
  • Fast page load time: The average time it takes for your blog page to load should be as short as possible.
There are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of various blog hosting services to select from. I understand how overwhelming it can be for a newbie.

But I've already done the research for you, so you don't have to worry about anything going wrong when you create your first blog.

In my search for the ideal hosting for my blogs and websites, I've made a number of errors. Needless to say, I don't want you to repeat the same mistakes in order to lose sleep.

Here's what I recommend to avoid making the same mistakes I did and spending hours and hours after a crash trying to get your blog back online with no help from your hosting company.

For domains and blog hosting, I prefer Bluehost.

Even if you're completely new to blogging, you can build a blog on Bluehost in about 10 minutes.

They will set up the WordPress blogging software for you automatically. You simply only need to sign up and begin blogging immediately.

Why Bluehost is my #1 domain and blog hosting recommendation:
So, why Bluehost?

The bottom line is that selecting a blog hosting company is all about striking the proper balance between ease of use and high performance.

You don't want to overcomplicate matters by spending days or weeks tinkering with technical settings that are already difficult to comprehend.

Instead, you want a service that allows you to launch your blog quickly and easily, correct?

As a result, your blog hosting should be simple to set up while also providing excellent performance and reliability. That's where Bluehost comes in.

  • Choose a hosting plan that matches your demands and your budget starting at just $2.95/month as an exclusive deal for my readers.

  • No hidden fee - When you sign up, there are no hidden fees.
  • Free, automatic WordPress installation – That’s the blogging software you should use. No technical jargon or hassle – start blogging right away.
  • FREE SSL certificate for your blog – Encrypts your blog traffic, adding trust and credibility with your blog visitors and with Google!
  • FAST and pleasant support available 24/7 - I've waited an average of 1.5 seconds for a support employee to join the helpdesk chat.
  • If you choose to terminate your account for any reason, you will receive a 30-day money-back guarantee with no questions asked.

There is no such thing as a risk with Bluehost.

That's why I've partnered with them to offer you a unique blog hosting package. I'm confident you'll enjoy them as much as I do!

Start a WordPress site in 2021 with this beginner's instruction on how to set up a blog on Bluehost in 10 minutes.

Step #1: How to create a Bluehost Blog hosting Account

First of all , Click here to get to Bluehost

The page will look like this

Bluehost-the-best-web-hosting.jpg

Then, on that beautiful button that says "Get Started," click it.

The following web hosting plan options will appear on the next page for you to pick from:

Monthly-plan-for-wordpress-web-hosting.jpg

It's completely acceptable to choose the Basic plan when you're just getting started with your first blog.

Especially if you're on a tight budget and don't anticipate to make a lot of money from your blog. You can always upgrade in the future if you want to.

However, I can promise you that this is a little price to pay for the possibilities that an internet presence can provide. It's simply an essential investment that will allow you to quickly recoup your costs through your blog or business.

After you've decided on a web hosting plan (Basic, Plus, or Choice Plus), click "Select" to go to the following page, where you can select a domain name.

Step #2: Register a Free Domain name for your Blog

You can choose your blog's domain name on the next page:

How-to-start-a-successful-blog-to-make-money-online-2021.jpg

Simply enter the name of the domain name that you want for your blog. For example, Mydollarstudio.com. Click "Next" after filling out the "Create a new domain" area.

If your desired domain name is not available, you may either attempt an other concept or (as I recommend) skip this step and choose your domain name later.

Simply go to the bottom of the screen and click "I'll create my domain later." After you've completed the remainder of your account setup, you can spend some time brainstorming fresh ideas. It's just easier to take your time and think about the name that way.

You'll be taken to the final page for creating your account after creating your domain name or selecting one later, completing the Bluehost signup process.

(See, I told you it would be simple!)

Step #3: Finish your Signup and Registration

Fill in your Account information
Fill in your account information, such as your name, email address (use your primary email address because your login details will be emailed to that address), and address:

How-to-create-an-account-with-bluehost.jpg

Select the appropriate hosting package
Second, select the appropriate hosting plan based on the price you want to lock in and the amount of time you want to pay:

Bluehost-package-information.jpg

Which plan is ideal for starting a blog?

If you want to lock in the lowest price for your blog hosting, I recommend choosing one of the lengthier options. You can begin with the 36-month plan which is currently having a discount plan . It provides you with the cheapest blog hosting for the next three years.

Keep in mind that the discounted rate is only available to new clients and for the first payment.

Your cost may increase after the first year if you choose a shorter plan.

Of course, the decision to choose a plan that fits your budget is entirely yours. If you're serious about launching a blog to produce money, though, you should go with a long-term package.

Add-ons to your package (you only need one)

Finally, under Package Extras, you may select various additional services for your blog:

Now, if you ask me, none of these are absolutely necessary.

However, I strongly advise you to go with Domain Privacy Protection. It protects all of your confidential contact information.

You may add Domain Privacy Protection to your order for $1 per month if you choose the Basic or Plus plan. Your Domain Privacy Protection will be included in your plan as a free extra if you chose the Choice Plus plan on the previous page.

The total price displayed is the price you will pay right now. But bear in mind that, depending on the plan you choose, you won't have to pay again for 1 to 5 years.

Bluehost also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee if you aren't satisfied with their services.

Enter your Payment information

Finally, simply fill out your payment information, read and accept the terms, and click "Submit":

Congratulations! With your own domain name and web hosting package, you're now a proud member of the Bluehost community!

Next, we'll go over the last stages of setting up your WordPress installation so you can get started with your WordPress blog right away on Bluehost!

Step #4: Login to your Bluehost Account and Set-up your Wordpress Blog

Fortunately, Bluehost now installs WordPress on your account automatically during the signup process. So, honestly, there isn't much else to do here.

Bluehost will greet you with a friendly welcome message once you've finished the payment process:

Bluehost.jpg

Click the bright green button that reads "Create your password" to get started with your WordPress site.

You'll be led to a screen where you may set your Bluehost hosting account password:

Bluehost-login.jpg

Type in the password you want to use, make a note of it somewhere, and then click "Next."

What's more, guess what? You've completed the task!

That's right, your WordPress blog is now installed and running in the background, and you can start writing material right away!

You can choose a WordPress theme for your blog on the next screen, if you want to (you can skip this step; I'll show you how to choose a theme for your WordPress blog in a minute):

Themes.jpg

Simply skip the step at the bottom of the screen if you're not sure about it yet.

If you're new to WordPress, check out my article on the best WordPress themes and templates for bloggers to learn more about how themes operate and how to pick the best one for your blog.

Finally, you'll be taken to the dashboard of your Bluehost account, where you may manage your sites, domains, and settings:

In the centre of the screen, you can see your WordPress blog. Simply click “Log in to WordPress” to get started with your fantastic new WordPress blog!

Alternatively, you can access your WordPress website by entering your domain name and appending "/wp-admin" to your personal URL in your web browser. Simply type "xyz.com" if your domain is "xyz.com."

In the address box of your browser, type
 http://xyz.com/wp-admin.

When you press Enter, you'll be directed to your WordPress blog's login page:

Wordpress-login.jpg

Simply enter your in details and click "Log in" and there you go !

You're now ready to start developing and customising your WordPress blog in order to take over the world — just keep reading!

Step 3: Customize your WordPress Blog - Choose a wordpress theme

You're almost there!

This is the final step before you can begin creating fantastic content and posts for your new WordPress site!

How to find a Wordpress theme for your Blog

To begin, log in to your WordPress blog using the login credentials provided by your web hosting provider.

Simply type www.yourblog.com/wp-admin/ into your web browser to see the login screen – remember to change “yourblog.com” with your own domain name:
www.yourblog.com/wp-admin/
Enter your username and password in the fields and click the “Log In” button:

Wordpress-login.jpg

You'll see your WordPress Dashboard once you've logged in. This is where you should start with everything you do for your blog:

A dark, vertical menu can be found on the left-hand side.

You can access all of the information on your WordPress blog from there, as well as upload media, evaluate comments, and change the look of your blog.

Select "Appearance" from the drop-down menu. This will lead you to the overview of themes. I recommend using any of the default themes at first , and then choosing the Premium plan .

How to Install a wordpress theme

On the Themes overview page, click “WordPress.org Themes” to install a new WordPress theme for your blog:

(If you're using a web hosting company other than Bluehost, the button may simply read "Add new.")
This will take you to the themes directory, where you can browse thousands of themes:

When you move your mouse over a theme, you'll see a "Install" button appear.

You're almost done with this! If you like a theme, you may install it with a single click.

Additionally, as shown in the screenshot above, there is a “Feature Filter” option on the top. It allows you to sort through all of these topics based on your own criteria:

Choose your filters (in this case, I only want to view themes that are acceptable for building a blog) and then hit the "Apply Filters" button at the bottom. This will return you to the themes overview, where you can select a favourite and install it as shown in the screenshots.

How to install and activate a new WordPress theme on your website

After you've discovered a theme you like and clicked "Install," you'll notice a button that allows you to quickly activate the new theme:

How-to-activate-your-wordpress-theme.jpg

Once you've found a new theme, go ahead and activate it.

That's how you set up a WordPress theme for your new blog, my friend!

Finally, don't forget to admire the fruits of your labour – have a look at your newly installed and activated WordPress blog's new design. To see your blog's newly-designed start page, simply hover your mouse over the name of your blog in the upper left corner of the screen and select "Visit site":

Congratulations! Like a pro, you just altered the look of your WordPress blog!

I'm hoping you're still here! If you have any difficulties following the procedures above, please let me know and I will assist you.
